Returning to Accademia in 2020 - MA in Fine Art at U.C.L.A.N. through the Covid 19 pandemic proved challenging to say the least. Documentary Photography of my daily walks around the old mill town of Brierfield brought to my attention the problems of our domestic rubbish situation and the wider implications of the Anthropocene. The project began with this old chair discarded on the pavement which took me back to a memory of my Dad returning home with a chair found in a skip, my Mum wasn’t best pleased but the chair stayed and was used for many years.

The town became my ‘Street Gallery’ the discarded items were the exhibits, changing on a regular basis, some daily, others lasted considerably longer.
